Employment Terms

1. EVALUATION: The process of evaluating something or an instance of this
2. ASSESSMENTS: The act of assessing; appraisal.
3. BACKGROUND CHECK: Used by employers to verify the accuracy of the information you provide on you resume or job application -- and beyond.
4. BENEFITS: A wage agreement, an insurance policy, or a public assistance program.
5. COLD CALL: Telephone call to a prospective customer without an appointment or a previous introduction.
6. COMPENSATION PACKAGE: The combination of salary and fringe benefits an employer provides to an employee.
7. GROSS PAY: Is the pay you get before taxes.
8. FICA: Federal Insurance Contributions Act: U.S. government legislation under which taxes are levied for the support of Social Security.
9. OSHA: Occupational health and safety rules.
10. NET PAY: The remaining amount after deductions from the gross salary
11. DEDUCTIONS: Subtraction
12. INTERNSHIP: The state or condition of being an intern.
13. OUTSOURCING: To contract out (jobs, services, etc.)

I don't know why yalls time sheets are not in there. Maybe I thought I put them back and I really didn't. Write your hours down on a piece of paper and put it in the turn in box and we will find them on Monday. No big deal. I must have them.
